What are the plates made from?
These are made from a quality bamboo composite material, which is what gives them that warm, natural look and feel alongside the durability you need when you're living and eating on the road every day. They're lightweight, far less likely to chip or crack than ceramic, and completely BPA-free and food-safe. It's a combination that works beautifully for the caravan lifestyle.
Can I put them in the dishwasher?
Yes, absolutely. The plates are made under extremely high heat, so the dishwasher holds no surprises for them. Most caravanners wash them by hand at the van or pop them through the dishwasher at home between trips. Either way they come up beautifully. A quick rinse in the van sink is all they really need day to day.
Are they scratch resistant?
Yes, and they hold up really well. The surface is scratch resistant and everyday metal cutlery, including knives, doesn't seem to mark them at all. Can I use them in the microwave or oven?
